New A9 Serial Interface Ready for Integrations
Accurate Technologies Inc. is excited to announce the A9 Serial Interface is actively being integrated for an upcoming program which will mark its first official purchase. The A9 was designed to be interchangeable with the A8, making it an easy transition for existing A8 users with minimal effort. A9 users will benefit from the increase DAQ capabilities with support for up to 125,000 unique data items. With the greater throughput, the A9 is able to do quicker synchronizations between the A9 and the ECU.

VISION Version 6.0 Released
Accurate Technologies Inc. (ATI) is excited to announce VISION 6.0 the latest release of VISION Calibration and Data Acquisition Software. VISION debuts major new features and improvements, including the ability to manage recorders within a project file. This feature can be useful when visualization of the data recording is not required or a standard set of recordings is desired. The “Recorder Manager” tab is now available in the VISION project, which reveals those recorders that exist both within the project and any open screens.

Break out Boxes supporting T-type and J-type Thermocouples
ATI is excited to introduce the new T-type and J-type Break out Boxes supporting the High Thermocouple Channel Count EMX. The T-type and J-type Break out Boxes aid in users performing test that require a more accurate or narrower range of temperatures. The T-type is commonly used in applications such as HVAC testing due to having high stability at sub-zero temperatures. The J-type thermocouples are the most cost effective and a general-purpose thermocouple.

Importance of Calibrating for High Precision Measurement
(ATI) hardware provides users with an extremely competitive and accurate solution to fit their needs. In order to ensure our products maintain the same level of precision and high reliability, it’s required that they be sent in for recalibration annually. Hardware such as the EMX Data Acquisition Series, EDAQ16P Pulse Input Module, DLX Datalogger Module, and Ignition Timing Meter (IGTM-2000) all require annual calibration. Recalibration is a service offered at ATI with quick turnaround times to reduce any down time to the user while the equipment is being tested.

Turbo Speed Measurement with PICOTURN PTCM
(ATI) proudly offers the latest generation of PICOTURN compact controllers. The PTCM V1.1 system brings a proven rugged, reliable, simple, accurate and cost effective solution to rotational speed sensors for turbochargers. The system’s functional principle is a 1MHz pulse induction with eddy current discrimination, using a compressor mounted solenoid sensor that detects and counts compressor vanes individually, generating a standard TTL/CMOS output signal.

CANLab 5.0 now Supports CAN FD
The new version CANLab (5.0) now possesses the ability to interface with Flexible Data Rate CAN (CAN FD) hardware devices (Kvaser, ATI branded Kvaser, and Vector,) in addition to familiar CAN and LIN devices. Beneficial features used for analyzing a CAN bus are now supported for CAN FD message traffic (i.e. Bus Statistics, Tracing, Playback, etc.). CAN FD support within CANLab is a simple extension of the existing usage with CAN, therefore minimal new training is required.

(ATI) proprietary communication protocol configured to the firm’s EMX Data Acquisition Module, offering a number of reliability and convenience benefits compared with conventional CAN acquisition. Accurate Technologies Inc. (ATI) has unleashed the full potential of the EMX Data Acquisition Module using the speed advantage of Ethernet connectivity. Ethernet provides the bandwidth necessary to take full advantage of the high-speed sampling capabilities of the HSA8D IOM module that was not previously possible over CAN. Connecting the EMX over Ethernet allows for larger packages of data to be transferred at faster speeds, resulting in the ability to operate all the EMX high-speed channels simultaneously.

Increase data speed using the CANary FD
CANary FD is the latest interface in ATI’s CAN Bus product portfolio, offering 4 CAN channels that support Flexible Data Rate CAN networks (CAN FD) in a compact, ruggedized enclosure. Each of the 4 CAN channels are galvanically isolated from channel to channel and USB to channel to provide better signal integrity in demanding environments. In addition, the unit's 4 channels benefit from individual mechanically switchable CAN termination that provides persistent termination even when the CANary FD is not powered, thus eliminating the need for external termination resistors.

Message Based Protocol
Messaged Based Protocol (MBP) brings the unprecedented levels of measurement performance offered with the EMX to any CAN-based acquisition system. MBP is configured using the Hardware Configuration Utility, which is a free download available on ATI’s website. MBP enables custom formatting of EMX data on CAN so that it is easily read by a vast array of applications, allowing users to define the messages they want to send and receive.

VISION 5.1 Has Arrived
With a focus on customer needs, Accurate Technologies Inc. (ATI) has developed version 5.1 of its VISION™ Calibration and Data Acquisition Software, which offers several new features and improvements. Amongst these is CAN FD (CAN with Flexible Data-Rate) support. CAN FD offers increased throughput due to the increased message lengths and faster bit rates. CAN FD provides a platform to acquire more data and to speed up download and flashing operations. In addition, VISION is now able to stream data directly to an ASAM MDF 4.1 file when recording data.

New Accessories: EDAQ Break Out Box to EMX Cables
ATI announces the availability of two new cables which enable use of existing EDAQ break out boxes (BOBs) with EMX Data Acquisition Modules without requiring sensor connection modifications. Cable number 150-0223 connects an EDAQAI or P BOB to a B-chassis (which has a 64-pin Autosport connector) EMX Module. The second cable, number 150-0222 connects an EDAQAI or P BOB to an A-chassis (which has a 41-pin Autosport connector) EMX Module. Example user applications are shown below.

The new Data Analyzer for MDF4 file formats is the highlight of the recently introduced VISION Tool Suite - VISION Calibration and Data Acquisition Software’s expansive and flexible platform for future features.
