New Breakout Box Cabling Solutions Launched for Latest ATI EMX DAQ Module Variants
November 16, 2016
The clever modular construction of Accurate Technologies’ EMX Data Acquisition Devices is mirrored in the newly announced Breakout Box EMX accessories. These breakout boxes accommodate the cabling requirements of the greatly expanded range of EMX modules that resulted from the introduction of the alternative cost-effective Analog Input channels and the ability to combine different channel types in a single device.
ATI’s new accessories accommodate all the EMX variants via a modular design. For example, each internal EMX module whether it be 8 analog channels or 10 thermocouple channels has an equivalent breakout box module that accommodates the corresponding sensor connections.

EMX devices channel count choices range from 8 to 30, while available channel types include cost-effective analog, high precision analog and thermocouple. In addition, each EMX has at least 2 general purpose sensor power outputs, and EMX device choices include those with 16 precision power outputs. To package all of these feature mixtures, EMX modules are available in two housing sizes with two connector pin counts. Courtesy of ATI’s smart design, there are breakout box module combinations to provide connection to different groupings of sensors from each of the two EMX connectors.
Regardless of the specific EMX purchased, ATI can assemble the corresponding breakout box required for any EMX variant, providing a reliable, robust connectivity solution for its market leading DAQ module range.
