ATI Expands its Line Up of Memory Emulators.Accurate Technologies Inc. announces the expansion of its memory emulator product line to include a new version of the M6 Memory Emulator, called the M6T, customized for calibration of Electronics Control Units, or ECUs, supporting the Infineon TriCore TC179x family of microprocessors.
Previously for TriCore-based ECUs, ATI customers had the options of calibrating over the CAN network or using ATI’s A7 Serial Interface Module over TriCore microprocessor’s JTAG port. There has been recent increased demand for a memory emulation option for the TriCore microprocessor. ATI was able to quickly respond to this customer need for a higher performance interface by using its successful M6 Memory Emulator as a foundation to develop the M6T solution.
Memory emulation offers calibrators the maximum bandwidth for transferring data and has virtually no impact on the functioning of the microprocessor eliminating interference with test or calibration results. Measurement rates of 300 to 400 data items every 10 milliseconds can be realized using memory emulation.
The M6T Memory Emulator has all the features of the original M6 Memory Emulator including 8MB of Flash memory for emulation memory storage, synchronous bank swapping enabling multiple changes simultaneously, a compact size and extended temperature range for in-vehicle use. The M6T is available in BGA or socketed versions for 8, 16 and 32-bit applications.
