Data Analysis

Convenience makes analysis easier. VISION's powerful post analysis features range from importing/exporting popular file formats for comparison of data to advanced scripting to automate tasks.

Use VISION's Strip Chart Recorder which combines the functionality of the data recorder with the power of the VISION graphical analysis tools. This combination provides the same graphical views for live and recorded data. All signal formatting is saved, as is, in the recording for later analysis. Unique features of the Strip Chart Recorder include the ability to pause while recording data for analysis.

The use of virtual and calculated channels is an additional VISION feature that provides further in-depth analysis capability. Virtual channels are created before testing occurs and calculated as data is acquired. Measured data and virtual channels are recorded simultaneously and can be viewed by any VISION screen object. Calculated channels are added to the Recorder file after the data acquisition process has taken place.

Perform sophisticated searches of all data files with VISION's Find-in-File feature. Search for specific events or specific values or range of values. For example, only view tests where ambient temperature is greater than 70°C. The larger the repository of files, the more valuable this tool becomes.
