Although CANLab has a great deal of built-in, time saving functions with database support including many math functions and calculated channels, there are always unique situations where scripting is essential to automate tests, simulate nodes or initiate messages based on network activity.

CANLab provides a free, full-featured scripting language that is easy to use and integrates with Microsoft's .NET framework. With just a basic knowledge of C# programming, you can extend CANLab's functionality to not only work with messages but also analyze data. Save scripts as DLL's for distribution and use by other groups who can focus on performing the test rather than test setup.
