Senior Application Engineer (Wixom, MI)

Responsibilities:
The Application Engineer is responsible for providing advanced support and guidance to users of ATI products and to assist them in developing specific solutions to their engineering problems using our tools and third party tools such as products from The MathWorks. Application engineers also maintain relations between the customer and the organization for all engineering matters.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Point of technical contact for all customers.
  • Involved throughout entire customer interaction with ATI products including pre-sales activities, technical support and customer training.
  • Develop product demonstrations and application examples for pre-sales activities.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of all ATI's products and third party tools such as those from The MathWorks.
  • Accountable for high quality, timely and thorough customer support.
  • Analyze customer problems to determine and implement best solutions.
  • Translate customer requirements into system solutions and provide timely feedback to
  • Marketing and Product Engineering as input for new product or feature development.
  • Participate in testing and validation of products, including software prior to market release.
  • Work with sales to develop and maintain customer information in a common customer relationship database.
  • Perform benchmark research to determine a product's ability to solve specific customer problems.
  • Maintain knowledge/understanding of competitive products.
  • Develop, review and maintain documentation such as application notes.
  • Represent the company at industry tradeshows/conferences.
  • Willing to travel within the mid-west region to the customer's location. Though less frequent, some international travel can be expected. Some assignments could require part-time location at the customer's site.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Highly motivated by the challenges of working with different applications and implementing new technology.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic control system development processes, as well as software/hardware architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of control system communications and diagnostic protocols.
  • Knowledge of powertrain calibration, CAN communications and vehicle instrumentation.
  • Experience with The MathWorks products including MATLAB, Simulink, Real-Time Workshop, Real-Time Workshop Embedded Coder, Stateflow and Stateflow coder.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think logically when under pressure.
  • Ability to remain poised, patient and calm in stressful situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent listening skills; Able to "hear the need behind the customer's questions."

Software Engineer (Wixom, MI)

Responsibilities:
As a member of the software development group you will be part of a dynamic development team performing analysis, design and development of our next generation software using the latest C++, C# and .NET technologies.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Both new development and maintenance/enhancement to existing software.
  • Detailed technical design of software components based on requirements.
  • Development and execution of unit test procedures.
  • Development and execution of system test procedures.
  • Development and updating of documentation on work performed.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills/Experience

  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Experience with the following programming languages: C, C++, C#.
  • Experience in designing and developing Windows user interfaces.
  • Solid understanding of Object Oriented methodologies and concepts in general .
  • Able to understand and intelligently debug existing Windows GUI and lower-level software.
  • Solid understanding of general programming software technology.
  • Understanding and appreciation of software development lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of and understanding of software design patterns.

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Development experience with The MathWorks™ Simulink Real Time Workshop (RTW)™ .
  • Understanding the nuts and bolts of the RTW build process.
  • Understanding of low-level RTW components such as TLC files, tlc programming, tmf, c-mex, m-scripts etc.
  • Experience with SAE, ISO and ASAM standards.

Sales Engineer (Paris, France or Munich, Germany)

Responsibilities:
The Sales Engineer position requires a dynamic individual to meet the challenges of an international company. The Sales Engineer is responsible to grow the business by developing new accounts and by building customer relationships with France. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for the sales operation on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Perform all facets of day-to-day sales operations and implement ATI objectives within France.
  • Represent the company at industry tradeshows/conferences.
  • Willing to travel within France to the customer’s location; some international travel is also to be expected.
  • Communicate with corporate office on a timely and on-going basis.
  • Integrate sales efforts with ATI Group to maximize customer solutions and ATI Group efficiency.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Degree educated.
  • At least 3 years of sales experience in the automotive electronics market and a good existing network in France (OEMs, Tiers).
  • Experience in sales efforts focused on growth.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Must be able to provide basic technical support. Knowledge of ECU calibration a plus.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office.

Sales Account Manager (Bangalore, Chennai, Pune or Delhi, India)

Responsibilities:
Based in India, the Sales Account Manager is responsible for maintaining, growing and developing new Indian accounts. This sales position requires a good understanding of the automotive electronic control system development process to fully understand customer projects and needs.

This professional will call on existing and new prospective Indian customers; provide technical and commercial product information, deliver demonstrations and training, as well as help to remedy technical problems. The role holder will gather and analyse customer, sales and market information and report to management accordingly. The candidate will have minimum 3 years of successful experience in supporting customers, accomplishing sales goals and achieving business growth.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Actively generating new business leads, building relationships and developing sales volumes with new and existing accounts.
  • Travelling within India to customer locations and some international travel is to be expected.
  • Attend and exhibit at seminars, trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Gather and analyse customer, sales and market information and preparing sales plans.
  • Creating sales quotations and proposals.
  • Process orders, manage account status and resolve account/customer issues.
