ATI Application Engineer (Wixom, Michigan)

The Application Engineer is responsible for providing advanced support and guidance to users of ATI products and to assist them in developing specific solutions to their engineering problems using our tools. Advanced knowledge of MathWorks related products is preferred. Specifically, Matlab, Simulink, Real-Time Workshop, Real-Time Workshop Embedded Coder, Stateflow and Stateflow coder. Application engineers will also maintain relations between the customer and the organization of all engineering matters.

Essential Job Functions:
  • First point of technical contact for all customers
  • Involved throughout entire customer interaction with ATI products including pre-sales activities, technical support and customer training
  • Develop product demonstrations and application examples for pre-sales activities
  • Maintain expert knowledge of all ATI's products and Matlab, Simulink, Real-Time Workshop, Real-Time Workshop Embedded Coder, Stateflow, and Stateflow Coder.
  • Accountable for high quality, timely and thorough customer support
  • Analyze users' problems to determine and implement best solutions
  • Translate customer requirements into systems solutions and provide timely feedback to Marketing and Product Engineering as input for new feature/product developments
  • Participate in testing and validation products, including software prior to market release.
  • Work with sales and training to develop and maintain customer information in a common customer relationship database
  • Perform benchmark research to determine a product's ability to solve specific customer problems
  • Maintain knowledge/understanding of competitive products
  • Develop, review and maintain documentation such as application notes
  • Represent the company at industry tradeshows/conferences
  • Willing to travel within the mid-west region to the customer's location. Though less frequent, some international travel is also to be expected. Some assignments could require part-time location at the customer's site.
  • Any other task assigned by management

Skills:
  • Highly motivated by the challenges of working with different applications and implementing new technology
  • Strong knowledge of electronic control system development processes, as well as software/hardware architectures. Experience with MatLab/Simulink tools is a must.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent listening skills; Able to hear the need behind the customer's questions
  • Ability to remain poised, patient and calm during times when the tendency is to behave contrary
  • Highly sensitive to and aware of sales issues and opportunities
  • 1-5 years of recent application engineering experience is desirable

Customer Support Engineer (Wixom, Michigan)

Accurate Technologies Inc (ATI) is seeking self-motivated individuals to fill positions in our Customer Support Group in Wixom, Michigan. This is a salary position with a competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities
The Customer Support Engineer (CSE) is responsible for providing advanced support and guidance to users of ATI products, and to assist them in developing specific solutions to their engineering problems using our tools. Knowledge of powertrain calibration, CAN communications, vehicle instrumentation and Visual Basic is preferred. Knowledge of MathWorks related products is encouraged. Specifically, Matlab™, Simulink™, Real-Time Workshop™, Real-Time Workshop Embedded Coder™, Stateflow™ and Stateflow™ coder. The CSE will maintain relations between the customer and the organization regarding use of ATI products.

Electronics Technician (Wixom, Michigan)

Accurate Technologies Inc (ATI) is seeking self-motivated individuals to fill bench Electronic Technician positions in our manufacturing and production group in Wixom, Michigan. This is a salary position with a competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities
As a member of the manufacturing and production group you will be part of a team performing testing, analysis, diagnostics and repair of ATI’s leading-edge custom hardware.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Perform visual inspection of hardware to ensure product conformity and functionality.
  • Perform final production testing of hardware
  • Perform initial engineering validation tests on new hardware
  • Analyze, diagnose and repair hardware from production runs
  • Analyze, diagnose and repair hardware returned from the field.
  • Accurately documenting repairs and testing information using internal systems and procedures.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in assembly and component level troubleshooting
  • Experience with assembled circuit boards
  • Experience troubleshooting digital, analog and microcontroller circuits.
  • Experience using tools such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, digital volt/ohm meters and logic analyzers.
  • Experience with hand soldering components
  • Experience removing and placing surface mount components, including fine-pitch ICs
