The Latest 3.7.2 Version of VISION Calibration and Data Acquisition Software is available now.
Accurate Technologies has released the next version of its VISION Calibration and Data Acquisition Software. This version provides enhancements to the latest features and includes additions that have a strong focus on adding further safe guards for large Project files and preserving your work when pushing the limits of the VISION application.

New Resource Indicator
In cases where there are not enough system resources for Windows applications, there is inevitably a software exception. This can happen to users who often have large numbers of files open (for example several large project and recorder files). In order to help avoid application failures especially for this type of VISION user, VISION now provides the Resource Indicator in the Status toolbar of the VISION Window.
VISION constantly monitors key Windows system memory variables to determine an indicator color intended to keep you informed. Follow these guidelines:
- Green: Plenty of resources are available for VISION.
- Yellow: Resources are running low; consider closing other unneeded applications so VISION has enough resources to run properly.
- Red: Resources are dangerously low and a system crash could occur; immediately close other programs or save your work and shut down VISION.
Placing your mouse over the indicator will provide more Windows-based details regarding the status of the VISION application.
Other helpful additions include warnings and the imposing of common sense limits, for example: preventing the user from adding more Oscilloscope Screen Objects than VISION can handle. The maximum is 59 and VISION will prevent the addition of the 60th thus preventing VISION problems.
Auto-archiving of Environmental Settings
VISION now automatically creates Backup .DAT files whenever DAT files are saved to assist in the saving of environmental preferences. Layout Manager enhancements now allows for both the immediate saving of individual Layout files and the saving of the entire collection of templates. In addition, the VISION "Recent Project" list saves currently open projects when they are opened rather than when VISION is closed to allow restoration of the project in the event of an exception.
Enhanced Calibration Manager
Filters can now be applied to the Calibration Manager in new ways. Use previously created filter files (*.cff) by selecting File Filter from the Comparison Dropdown menuâ€™s Filters selection.
For quick filtering, a filter can now be applied to Comparison Table from the Auto Filter Row. Just type characters in the Auto Filter Row and the rows containing those characters will be listed.
Find-In Screens (CTRL+F) Feature Enhancement
Find in Screens (CTRL+F) feature now searches long and short data item names in Recorder Screen Objects .
Stripchart Recorder Enhancements
The Stripchart Recorder Object default settings have been changed to ensure the retention of manual Y-Axis scaling adjustments made by the user between arming events. Experienced users can still modify these settings based on their needs.
Performance improvements to the APOLLO post processing data plotting and the Stripchart Recorder live data plotting includes a more accurate data display decimation routine (depending on screen size and resolution). This added efficiency will result in faster recording file load times and smoother live data plots.
In addition, a Total Item count has been added to the StripChart Recorder cursor time pane to provide users an immediate count of the total number of data items added to that particular Strip Chart Recorder Object.
As with each release, VISION 3.7.2 expands its compatibility with more complementary products including:
- Added A7/A7B Serial interface support for the Renesas (NEC) V850 processor family
- Added support for Vector CAN Hardware for 64-bit Operating Systems (requires the current Vector CAN XL driver library)
- Added support for the Fujitsu FR80 processor to the ATI Rapid Prototyping No-Hooks OnTarget suite
